Susan Dewan joined Excelsior College in 1980, and quickly moved into the role of leading the strategic growth and development of Excelsior College’s Center for Military and Veteran Education, guiding the College’s outreach/recruitment activities to all branches of the U.S. military. She oversees course registrations among all military audiences including veterans, military spouses and DOD civilians. Ms. Dewan supervises Excelsior’s military academic advisors and military base education counselors throughout the country. She has secured education partnerships with the College of the American Soldier and on-site education programs at the US Army Sergeants Major Academy and Fort Bliss, TX. She has also established education alliances with all branches of the U.S. military. She provides strategic leadership for marketing campaigns aimed at military and veteran audiences and serves as a media resource for the college’s media relations team.
