Barbara B. Pieper, associate dean and director of the Robert E. Kinsinger Institute for Nursing Excellence and Patti Cannistraci, assistant dean for the BS and MS programs in the School of Nursing gave a paper at the Ruth K. Palmer Symposium: Pushing the Boundaries: Exploring Research Frontiers to Transform Nursing Practice, Education, and Policy, Loyola University, Rome, Italy, May 2014. The paper entitled Student Reading Preferences: Will the Past be our Future? shared findings which indicated that online nursing students still prefer some forms of print when it comes to study materials for their online course work.
